PCHS Visual Arts:

Art begins as a form of expression, but as we grow older and hone our skills it becomes more. Through these visual art courses, students will understand how to judge their own artwork to improve it and enhance their creation abilities.

Art I Beginning will start out building on technical skills and understanding the footing of each student. During the course, students will tackle increasingly challenging projects with even greater creative freedom and choice on content. 

​

Art II Intermediate begins with a refresher on drawing skills and quickly transforms into a variety of new media to experiment and discover including, woodcarving, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture and paper crafts.

Art History teaches students the beginnings of art in cultures around the world from the Paleolithic period to modern day. These histories are paired with art lessons to better enrich students experience.
